Valeo 15 is a custom built to order case. While it’s overall width and length are the same, it’s patent pending X’s and hardware allow it to be configured to fit over 50% of all laptops and tablets currently shipping – that’s over 600 unique devices. So how do you know what’s the best size for your laptop or tablet?
This is our advice. First, find the exact measurements of your device. Laptops and tablets can be measured by their width, depth and height.
As an example, we’ll use Apple’s 15″ MacBook Pro, which measures exactly 30.41 cm wide x 21.24 cm deep x 1.49 cm tall. The first step is to make sure your devices width and depth fall within Valeo 15’s max dimensions. They are 35 cm x 24 cm.
The only thing left to worry about is how high you want your case to be. As a rule of thumb, we recommend you select the hardware height that is 4 mm taller than your device. In the example above, you’d add 4mm to 14.9mm to arrive at an ideal height of 18.9mm. In this case, we would recommend selecting the 19mm hardware kit to fit the 15″ MacBook Pro. It’s that simple. For a snug fit, use the 4mm guide. For a looser fit, add 5mm to 6mm to your laptop’s dimension to get a more generous fit for the Valeo case. Think of it as a wider leg vs. the skinny or slim-fit version.
